Indian actor and Tamil cinema superstar Ajith Kumar issues a public notice against social media handles and fan sites claiming his endorsement and releasing unauthorised statements. 

The multi-lingual notice – in English and Tamil – clarified that the actor does not have an official page or account on popular social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram. “However, there are a few unauthorised self-proclaimed individuals, groups and associations, passing off their personal claims views and opinions on social and political issues under the guise and likeness of our client, through the unauthorized use of our client’s name and image.”

The notice has been widely reported in print and online media and news broadcasts.
