Hermès succeeds in action against retailers in Delhi’s notorious ‘grey market’

In a suit instituted by French maker of luxury goods, Hermès International, the Delhi High Court issued a permanent injunction against 15 shops in Delhi’s Gaffar Market selling counterfeit Hermès products including bags, shoes and various accessories.

Hermès commenced the remedial action in February 2015 when the court granted an ex parte interim injunction and appointed local commissioners to visit the premises of the defendants and seize the counterfeit goods.
